Mars is currently in the night sky glowing brightly, it's closer to the earth during the retrograde. I've been watching it over the past days together with the moon on my nightly outings. On October 12-14 it becomes extra bright being across from the Sun. With your naked eye you will see how red it is, like a red eye watching -- glaring really.
Mars is a planet of intensity and traditionally rules both Aries and Scorpio. Mars in a natal chart shows passion, action, aggression and sexuality. Something about this planet connects us to our animal nature. In the sign of Scorpio it works with the more hidden or passive aspect of these energies.
